Note:

Nappies for over twos will be charged at $1 per hour. Parents/ Caregivers may provide ‘pull ups’ for children who are toilet learning.


All fees must be paid by direct debit and in advance

Cancelations and late fees:

To cancel a permanent enrolment, we require two weeks written notice.

If a child is picked up after the close of day, two staff will stay behind with the child and this will incur a late fee of $1 a minute. A firm adherence to the close of day must be observed unless prior arrangement has been made with management.

Parents may make changes to parent/ guardian details and child attendance by contacting the Centre Manager in writing and signing a new timetable.

Unless two weeks’ notice is given in writing that a child will be absent from Tōtara Kids the full fee will be charged. Staff are employed based on enrolments to ensure the appropriate ratios and care is provided. If we receive over 2 weeks written notice you will be charged 50% of the fee to save your spot on the roll for up to three weeks per calendar year.

Overdue accounts and WINZ subsidies

In order to mitigate failed, late or missed payments the Owner/ Manager will monitor payments and make contact with account holders after one weeks missed payment. If payment is not made , payment plans will be created and children’s hours will not be able to be extended. If payment reaches one month in arrears, childcare will be suspended until payment is made.  Debt collection services will then be engaged, with late fees and charges added to cover any costs Tōtara Kids incur from using debt collection services.

It is the responsibility of the account holder named to pay the account in full if acceptance for WINZ subsidies is unsuccessful.

If an account becomes overdue, Tōtara kids reserves the right to put a hold on your account and your child will be unable to attend until the account has been paid in full.

Contact will be made if accounts are overdue. If sent to debt collection it is the sole responsibility for the account holder to pay for all fees incurred throughout this process.

Tōtara Kids ELC reserves the right to charge full fees on:

●       Unexplained Absences or Absences where less than two weeks notice is provided.
